My healthy weight loss(8kg) journey : fat to fit

It was all started from February 2018, when I was 76kg and after so much of tried and tested results, I am now 68 kg. I started looking so young, good and the feeling is just awesome.
It gave me confidence that I can’t explain here. The best thing of this journey is I haven’t left anything in food and have not joined any gym or yoga classes.

All things I have done by myself at home. So I feel really great about myself and I love what I am today.

8 kg of weight loss is not a big deal nowadays, there are so many things people do to get faster results but I would say please don’t go for faster results,
it takes time and be patient during this procedure. I enjoyed everything all festivals and its dishes also. In Diwali, I made chakli and nankhatai and laddoo and I really enjoyed everything.
so first I would start from my story of losing weight then I will come to the important things to do for that free of cost and genuine. 

I started this series of weight loss because everything can’t be described in just one post. So here I will share that is sustainable and you have to apply them first. These are very simple lifestyle changes. 

So here comes my story

I was an assistant professor in an engineering college in 2015, when I got married to my boyfriend after so much struggle actually that’s a different story. So, after marriage, I left my job because I was working in Dehradun Uttarakhand and he is in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. So I left my job keeping in mind will get something there. Then after two months, I came to know I am pregnant, it was really shocking for me, anyway. Then everything just changed in a bit.
In 2016 April I delivered a baby girl, itika. It was an awesome feeling actually can’t be expressed in a word. So then I gained weight I become 76 kg then and after she turned two, I maintained my weight on 76.
Then we came here, in Mumbai after his transfer. Here I started my life-changing decision that I want a great life ahead I will change it in terms of a career in terms of body weights and looks and all.
So now I can say I achieved things my body weight goal is 65 kg but I know I will gradually get that.
You can see my pictures there is a huge difference. There is no editing and filters in the images.

I would say if I can you can too. Start your journey on your own, nobody will come and do this for you.
There are few things you must be known of before you decide you are going to lose weight, Ok
here are two questions you must know on your own. Nobody can decide these things for you.

1. What is your body type
2. Why I want to lose weight

So these things must be clear in your mind, Ok.
What is your body type

first I should tell you about my body type, actually one should always first understand what is your body type. About your metabolism and strength and weakness. What you should do what should not. So always first understand your body type. 

I am not a blessed soul actually, metabolic rate is very bad. You know, when I eat something now like ice cream you can check my cheeks after some time it becomes fluffy, so that kind of body I have.
I was also gone through thyroid before and gain so much weight at that time.
And then marriage and baby, I gained more weight, I felt very low and lazy and felt like nothing exciting in my life
So think and analyze your body type. If you have like mine then you are in the right place.
Why I want to lose weight
I told you before as I felt nothing was exciting in my life. When I look around myself people who are obese, attract more disease than the normal ones.  As time passes by and you become older and older, you are more feel like lazy and out of energy and bloating and indigestion problems.
So I felt like no this is not good for me, NOBODY IS GONNA THINK FOR YOU
Mark my words whether there are your loved one’s hubby children parents. NOBODY.
So don’t judge anyone and start to find solutions for your problem. It’s only and only YOU who can change everything about yourself.
There must be some genuine reasons for you to take these steps. You want a fitness that stays for a longer period. 
Weight loss does not only help you to stay away from diseases but there are huge things from internally to the outside of your body(your physical appearance).

HOW I LOSE WEIGHT

 A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND STAY ACTIVE is the key to lose weight. I will share how I did it. There are so many changes I did in my lifestyle and that’s how I achieved and this is still going on. 
I did all these things and they all worked for me, It is not necessarily work for you. So please do the things as per your body type.

so here we go, there are two aspects: first is Diet, second is Workout and the third one is Mental Peace. I will come to this one by one. First I start with Diet I followed –
Always remember there are 70% diet and 30 % of workout that will make you healthy and fit.

DIET CHANGES
1. Warm water in the morning
You can simply have a glass of lukewarm water or you can add honey or lemon also. I generally have a glass of warm water only.

2. Start your day with a banana or soaked almonds or raisins
this is the first change I made in my diet. That will be helpful in many ways. First, if you have a sweet tooth you must follow this routine. Your sugar cravings will be reduced. Your acidic nature will reduce.

Many times I got up in the morning and after some daily rituals like the brush and all, I started burp many times and sometimes during the whole day. This is all gone when I started having a banana just after I brush my teeth. It is a source of potassium.

If you are a diabetic you must avoid banana and instead of that, you must take soaked almonds.
you can also take one apple.
3. Add homemade desi ghee in your diet
Yes, desi ghee is a good fat for your body so please take a 2-3 teaspoon of desi ghee with your dal or roti or sabzi. It will enhance the taste and make you feel good.

It is also good for bone muscle density.
4. Avoid milk and add dahi(curd) or chach(buttermilk)
So I love milk but I feel this is something that makes me fat, but if I won’t take this then what would be its alternative. The answer is Dahi or Buttermilk. You take this and will realize why I said so. 


5. Add Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables
Always try to have seasonal things in your kitchen. that is a must do a thing. Right now in India, there is winter so take methi(fenugreek), palak(spinach) and gobhi(cauliflower) and all.

6. Your traditional Oil 
I started using mustard oil in everything almost because I am a North Indian and My dadis and nanis all cook their food in mustard oil. That really affects.

If you are southIndian, use coconut oil. Similarly, use the oil according to your traditional values.

I did so and the results are here.

7. Avoid Dinner after 7-8 pm
This is the most important one, take your dinner at 7 pm if you got to bed at 11pm, so accordingly make your dinner and stick to it.

8. Snack at 4-5 pm
I actually take a small meal at 4 or 5 pm. It could be one roti with ghee and jaggery or dosa or apple or buttermilk. This is what I take and full my appetite. 

9. Add Green Tea twice or warm water whole day
so if you cant take warm water the whole day then take a green tea after 45 mins of a meal in day and night.  If you can then don’t need to take green tea. It has similar effects.

10. Drink 3 liters of water
This is a must thing, guys. You have to have at least 3 liters of water a day.

I am not saying to quit your tea of milk and sugar just have one – two cups of tea. I used to take one cup of milk and sugar tea in the morning with my breakfast. 

So this post becomes so long and I am also tired of typing now. I will make part 2 of this series where I will discuss workouts and mental peace things because there is also so much to tell you.

So there was saying when can’t change things accept it or dare to change things for yourself.

People will say whatever they want to say always, they will judge you many times but who cares.
Focus determination and commitment is must for losing weight or doing anything.

If you want to study, you want to wake up early or anything. You can’t do without these things in your mind.

  1. I have not heard of a lot of these tips, I love it. I am going to try some of them for overall health. I am also trying to lose some weight but I am not stressing it because the weight has been on so long now that I kinda don't mind it and it isn't hurting my health so no rush. I just added in some things and took out some things, that is working pretty good so far and now I will add these. Thanks for sharing.
